Support 20 Karenni Refugee Youth – Help Angela and Her Peers Rebuild
Their Lives

Why donate?

Karenni State in Myanmar has become a frontline of conflict. Daily airstrikes have devastated communities, forcing many young people to flee for their lives. Today, many of these youths have sought refuge in Southern Thailand, searching for safety and a chance to continue their education.

Education as a Beacon of Hope

The Foundation for Education and Development (FED), based in Southern Thailand, provides a lifeline for these displaced Karenni youths. We go beyond basic aid by offering:

  • Vocational Training to build sustainable livelihoods.
  • Higher Education opportunities for a brighter future.
  • Community Service: Our students actively give back by volunteering in clinics, schools, and community organizations within Karenni displacement areas.

Angela’s Story: Courage Through Adversity

Among our students is Angela, a young woman whose life was shattered by the cruelty of war. While serving as a volunteer intern at a displacement camp hospital, Angela was caught in a military airstrike. The attack cost her a leg, leaving her physically disabled.

However, her spirit remains unbroken. With incredible resilience, Angela continues to pursue her studies and remains dedicated to serving her people. She is a symbol of the strength and bravery of the Karenni youth.

How You Can Make a Difference

The future of these young refugees depends on collective support. We are seeking donations to sustain our educational programs and to provide direct assistance to Angela as she navigates her new reality.

Your support will provide:

  • Medical and Rehabilitation Care for Angela.
  • Higher Education and Skills Training for 20 Karenni refugees.
  • A Safe Haven for youth to learn, heal, and grow.
  • Stand with Angela and the Karenni Refugee Youth. Your kindness ensures that their dreams are not lost to the sounds of war.
